• A person who smokes in a prohibited place must pay a $50 fine.
• An employer, or one with custody of a public place, who fails to comply
with the smoking ban must pay a $100 fine for a first violation, a $200 fine for
a second violation within a year, and a $500 fine for additional violations
within a year.
• An employer that retaliates against an employee will be fined not less than
$2,000 nor more than $10,000 per violation.
How many nicotine-addicted citizens will die if banned altogether which is likely next. On average last year each $3,391 per smoker per year. Where does this money go you asked? Back to the government. Once the money from the Tax is gone, what happens? Everyone will pay. The past smokers will pay a lot less, and all others will make up the difference.
